Watterson Scholars at the University of Findlay

Developing Leaders of Character, Compassion, and Courage

Watterson Scholars are a small group of University of Findlay students in any major who study and work alongside campus and community leaders to tackle the problems of real communities. Students complete a degree in their chosen major while earning credentials in ethical leadership, community engagement, research, and collaboration. Along the way, students receive close faculty mentoring, gain professional experience, and graduate prepared for a career or further study.

Tell us about yourself. Then tell us what would you change about your community or the world if given the opportunity. You have the option to submit either a video or written response. Videos should be 1-2 minutes in length and written responses should be no more than 150 words.

Please follow these prompts for either submission response. Be sure to complete each part.

  1. Tell us your name and one thing you’d like us to know about you.

  1. Tell us what you would change about your community or the world if given the opportunity—and had unlimited resources and abilities. The change could be big or small.

Your response doesn’t have to be perfect—just genuine. We’re looking for you to demonstrate your authenticity and imagination.
